THE ROLE
Reporting to the Account Manager, you will be responsible for providing support to the day to day coordination and communication between the operations team and the key account customers of the business. You will be focusing on delivering exceptional customer service with responsibilities including:
- Responding to customer specific requirement for the top tier accounts
- Updating top tier 3PL customers regarding freight movements - confirming departures, ETA, advising delays and investigating incidents and providing reports.
- Communicating with customers via email and phone
- Supporting and assisting the operations of the logistics service team
Skills and experience should include
- Experience in transport or logistics is highly desirable
- Investigative nature with an eye for detail
- Understanding in logistics and warehouse movements and reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proficient usage of microsoft office suites including EXCEL
- Experience in ERP systems - SAP highly desirable
- Knowledge and experience in warehousing with safety management, compliance, troubleshooting and improvement activities.
