As a Roster Officer, you will work closely with the Rosters team, reporting to the Roster Supervisor, and be responsible for supporting the preparation of master and working rosters. The role requires a combination of excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. You will also interact regularly with staff and management, providing high-quality customer service and accurate advice on staffing and scheduling matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and maintaining rosters, ensuring compliance with Awards, budgets and staffing requirements.
- Monitor and manage attendance, absenteeism, and unavailability within the working rosters.
- Ensure compliance with workforce competences, qualifications, and workplace conditions as per employee contracts and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements.
- Coordinate workforce training and development scheduling.
- Support HR and Finance teams, particularly with payroll-related tasks.
- Assist with reporting, analysis, and insights into workforce trends.
- Help develop and maintain relevant policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Reconcile variances between rosters, timesheets, and payroll.
What are we looking for?
- Current National Police Certificate.
- Previous experience in scheduling or rostering, preferably within the aged care or healthcare sector.
- A positive, team-based attitude with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- High computer literacy and willingness to adapt to new technologies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement in sensitive situations.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Business or similar).
