About the Role:
As an APS5 Project Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the business, taking charge of your workflow and delivering high-quality outcomes in your area of responsibility. This role is designed for someone who is both proactive and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to manage complex project activities and provide insightful policy advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Assist in managing and coordinating projects, monitor and review activities against established plans.
- Project Planning: Contribute to the development and management of project plans and schedules in line with our project management framework.
- Policy Advice: Provide expert advice, procedural guidance, and technical expertise within your specific areas of project work.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct research and analysis, and contribute to the preparation of detailed reports on project activities.
- Reporting: Support regular project reporting, including status updates and exception reports.
- Documentation: Draft a variety of written materials including business cases, plans, executive briefs, and corporate documentation.
- Budget & Procurement: Assist with monitoring project budgets, reviewing and reporting on expenditure, and supporting procurement and contract management.
- Risk Management: Aid in identifying and managing project risks, issues, and benefits.
- Quality Management: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members to achieve program, project, and business objectives.

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
- Proficiency in providing policy advice and working within legislative frameworks.
- Experience in project management, including planning, monitoring, and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and issue resolution.
- Ability to draft clear and concise documentation.
