What You’ll Be Doing:

• Planning & Scheduling:
  Design and manage efficient interstate line-haul routes, ensuring timely delivery and optimised use of resources.

• Freight Management:
  Oversee the movement of freight from pickup to delivery, troubleshooting any issues along the way to keep things running smoothly.

• Driver & Carrier Coordination:
  Communicate with drivers and carriers to provide clear instructions, resolve operational issues, and ensure high service standards.

• Load Allocation & Optimisation:
  Maximise load capacity while adhering to weight limits and safety regulations, ensuring cost-effective transport solutions.

• Documentation, Data Entry & Data Management:
  Keep accurate records of shipments, prepare consignment notes, manifests, and ensure all transport documentation is up-to-date.

• Problem Solving & Issue Resolution:
  Quickly address and resolve challenges such as delays or equipment issues to maintain service continuity.

• Compliance & Safety:
  Ensure all line-haul activities comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards, prioritising safety at all times.

• Customer Liaison:
  Provide customers with timely updates, managing expectations and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For:

• Industry Experience:

  • 2-5 years in logistics, transport, or supply chain, with a focus on interstate operations.
  • Hands-on experience with route planning, driver coordination, and freight management in Australia.

• Technical Know-How:

  • Familiarity with Transport Management Systems and strong data entry and Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to manage data and documentation with precision and attention to detail.

• Regulatory Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of Australian transport regulations, including CoR and OH&S standards.

• Personal Attributes:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with drivers, carriers, and clients.
  • A natural problem-solver who stays calm under pressure and adapts quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
