The Data Entry Officer is responsible for accurately entering, verifying, and updating high volumes of financial and provider data into internal systems. Supporting the broader payments team, this role ensures the integrity of records related to provider accounts and client reimbursements. A strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and timely processing is essential, as is the ability to investigate and resolve data discrepancies in collaboration with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately enter and maintain provider account data, client reimbursements, and related financial information in internal systems.
Validate and cross-check information to ensure completeness and consistency before processing.
Support the verification of medical treatment costs and eligibility for medical excess thresholds.
Monitor and maintain the accuracy of records flowing through the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system.
Liaise with providers and internal teams to correct data inconsistencies and ensure smooth data flow.
Generate and review system reports to identify errors or outstanding entries and take corrective action.
Apply standard operating procedures and business rules to maintain data integrity and compliance.
Assist with continuous improvement activities to streamline data entry processes and improve system accuracy.
Rotate through various data-focused tasks, including batch processing, reconciliations, and record audits.
Key Selection Criteria:
High-level data entry speed and accuracy are essential - 75 wpm and above
Proven experience in high-volume data entry roles, ideally within a finance or administrative environment.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify root causes of data issues.
Clear and professional communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies.
