About the Role
Randstad is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Support Officer for a 3 month contract + potential extensions to support the daily project administration functions and provide high-level support to the Portfolio, Assets, Contracts & Technology Project Team. Reporting to the Director, Information Governance & Digital Enablement, this role will assist the Senior Project Manager with efficient and effective project delivery by ensuring smooth administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities
... - Undertake specific project activities using recommended project control solutions to align with objectives and timelines.
- Assist in research and analysis of issues related to assigned projects.
- Prepare and draft project reports, spreadsheets, planning documents, and other correspondence.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for project staff.
- Monitor budgets and provide financial reports, including purchase order creation and goods receipting using SAP.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Organise meetings, workshops, forums, and focus groups, including minute-taking.
- Assist with project board preparation, including room bookings, agendas, and minutes.
- Support project scheduling and maintain risk and issue registers.
- Manage project artefacts within the department’s eDRMS and SharePoint for accessibility and compliance.
- Oversee project email inboxes and ensure information is shared with relevant parties.
- Provide general project support, including document publishing, asset coordination, and survey management.
About You
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience working on projects, ensuring key milestone dates are met while engaging effectively with internal and external stakeholders. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, be highly organised, and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ideally you will have experience with the following.
- Previous experience supporting projects in a complex operating environment.
- Proficiency in agile project management tools and methodologies, with an understanding of financial, functional, and technical project management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience liaising and negotiating with diverse client groups.
- Knowledge of strategic issues in information and communication technologies or the ability to acquire such knowledge quickly.
Desirable
- Experience using SAP.
- Prior experience supporting government programs and projects.
- Understanding of Prince2 and Agile methodologies.
- Relevant formal qualifications in project management or a related discipline.
