I first spoke with Andrew Eglinton in October 2021 when I applied for a role as Boilermaker.

Andrew put me in touch with Rowlands Metalworks, and after interviewing virtually I was offered the role of Sheet Metal Worker. I was given a letter of offer and a signed contract, which I was able to upload to my Immigration Account. This was done on Christmas Eve 2021. In February 2022 we were granted our Permanent Residency and shortly after we left the UK and I began my new career at Rowlands Metalworks in June 2022. Since then, I have moved from the workshop to the office, where I am now Lead Industrial Designer. I now have opportunities within this company, and this state, that I never would have had in the UK.

I would like to thank Andrew for his considerable time and efforts in helping us move from the North East of England to South Australia.

Immigrating is an arduous journey, one of the more daunting prospects for me personally was the task of having to uproot myself from my stable career and re-enter the job market. After several weeks navigating jobsites, I was finding myself in the predicament of being told. ‘’We’re interested in your skill-set, but we’re unable to engage with you until you are on shore’’.

I opened my emails one morning to find a Mr. Andrew Eglinton wanting to make contact. Liaising with Andrew was a breath of fresh air, especially after weeks of corporate bureaucracies that get in the way of good information exchange. Andrew is honest, down to earth, to the point and particularly easy- going. We had several exchanges, he happily invested his time getting to know me and answering all of my questions. Andrew offered me a position with Randstad, well ahead of my departure with a flexible start date, looking to place me with a company when I landed onshore.
I would like to thank Andrew for all his hard work for getting me to where I am now. It would have been so much more challenging without you.
