General role details:
- Based in Kalgoorlie Depot
- Immediate start
- 6 month assignment (until end of July 2025)
- 38 hrs per week
- Earn up to to $48.87 per hour
About the role:
We are looking for Welding Observers to assist in ensuring the safety of Welders from potential hazards. This role offers the opportunity to further skills in the operation and maintenance of water assets.
What you can expect with this role:
Duties include assisting the Welder with digging, clearing the site for fire prevention, lifting and fitting size steel pipe repair bands/patches, using brush cutters and electric jack hammers, assisting fitting of pipe repair jacks, maintaining and operating equipment, and using hand tools.
Main responsibility is to monitor the safety and wellbeing of the Welder at all times whilst operating the welding machine.
