About the Company:

Our client is a versatile logistics company based in Western Sydney, offering comprehensive end-to-end services to leading retailers.

About the Role:

You will lead and direct transport operations on the weekend shift, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. You will manage staff, address operational issues, and contribute to maintaining efficient and safe transport operations.

Here's a more detailed breakdown of the duties:

• Ensure all pre-planned starting times are covered by the rostered subcontractors / Company drivers each day.
• Prior to 3.30pm each day, liaise with the transport desk for any additional requirements for the next day. Organise additional requirements with subcontractors/ Company drivers
• Maintain and keep up to date “Driver Roster” each day
• Prior to 2pm each day send out Allocations sheets, to all required personnel .
• Message or call all drivers/subcontractors each day to communicate start times and loads to be done ( unless already organized on set runs)
• Follow up with subcontractors/ Company drivers at the start of each day to obtain runsheets for the previous day and ensure they are supplied ASAP.
• Review and check runsheets to capture Load number for the day, the number of hours, number of pallets and number of drops completed by the relevant driver.
• Data Entry of runsheets from previous day ensuring all KPIs and demurrage information is entered into SOG.
• Check for any DVR’s written out by Drivers and send through to HNL/NFS workshop daily, follow up on repairs .
• Mentoring and coaching staff and identifying training needs

The Successful Applicant will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• BFM accreditation essential to manage fatigue and BFM runs (12hrs +)
• Experience in managing a dynamic business , including changes and extra loads that may be requested daily
• Have experience in a 24/7 retail refrigerated distribution
• Knowledge of regional areas throughout NSW.
• Ability to communicate with the customer with solutions if needed
• Experience in Vehicle tracking systems and Tablet driver interface
