About the Role

This role, reporting to the Managing Director of Operations, will focus on driving productivity improvements, ensuring profitable execution, and maintaining a safe work environment that fosters operational excellence as well as employee growth and performance. It will oversee the management of warehouse and shipping operations, fulfilling B2B and B2C customer orders for various products across Australia and the Asia region.

• Develop and implement new procedures and workflows to drive continuous improvement
• Strategically oversee warehouse operations in alignment with company policies and vision.
• Manage a third-party logistics operation for a leading electronics company, balancing both company and client policies.
• Lead the recruitment and management of 30 warehouse staff, ensuring procedures and workflows support performance that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• Maintain and document all procedures to comply with ISO requirements.
• Control department costs and develop cost management programs to ensure ongoing performance and productivity improvements.
• Monitor cost center performance to identify and address any unfavorable variations from the budget, focusing on labor productivity and asset utilization.
• Oversee cost management efforts.
• Manage site budgets and P&L to optimize financial performance.
• Measure key metrics such as on-time receipt, put-away, order receipt, fulfillment, and on-time, in-full dispatch.
• Foster and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Possess strong experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferably SAP.
• Provide coaching, development, performance management, and succession planning for the entire warehouse operations team.

The Successful Applicant will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in Warehouse Operations Management, preferably with experience in the Retail & ecommerce industry
• Degree in Supply Change Management or related discipline is beneficial
• Comfortable to work in a multicultural environment
• Strong stakeholder management, communications and interpersonal skills
