About The Role

As the Senior Adviser, Campaigns, you will lead the end-to-end development and delivery of large-scale, multi-channel communication strategies and campaigns. You’ll manage substantial budgets, coordinate external providers, lead internal project teams, and provide expert strategic advice to senior stakeholders. This role will see you influencing key decision-makers, responding to emerging issues, and applying your deep understanding of government processes to deliver impactful, high-quality work.
You’ll work closely with a range of stakeholders, ensuring that campaign activity meets departmental and government guidelines, and aligns with broader strategic goals. This role is based in Melbourne CBD and is offered on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
Key Accountabilities
Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of integrated communication campaigns.
Manage contracts, procurement processes, governance, budgets, and reporting in line with government requirements.
Provide high-level strategic communication advice to senior leaders.
Develop campaign briefs, complex reports, and communications tailored to diverse audiences.
Monitor and respond to emerging issues using data insights and research.
Represent the branch in interdepartmental forums and committees.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and manage project working groups.

Desirables
Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing or a related field.
Experience with Victorian Government communications processes and tools (including the Master Agency Media Services contract, branding and reporting frameworks).
Previous involvement in delivering multi-channel public awareness or behaviour change campaigns.
A solid understanding of governance, evaluation, and reporting frameworks in the public sector.
Preference will be given to candidates with current or very recent experience in a campaigns role within State or Federal Government.
