Reporting to the Senior Manager – Operations, you will be responsible for the management of a team and have oversight of all initial application reviews.
This includes completeness checks, and making decisions on a range of interim financial supports and future authorised expenses.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage a team, including supporting and guiding them to deliver quality and consistent service.
- Act as an initial escalation point for complex applications, including making interim decisions and approving future authorised expenses.
- Manage the daily operation of the intake and triage function, including allocation of resources, management of work, communication with staff, completion of reports, and ensuring that the intake and triage function meets daily service targets and functional responsibilities.
- Identify operational risks to ensure the efficient operation of the intake and triage function.
- Provide oversight of initial reviews for financial assistance and interim decisions made on urgent applications.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and practices relevant to the operation.
- Ensure that all relevant work activities undertaken by the team are accurately recorded in accordance with privacy requirements and other relevant policies.
- Complete other relevant tasks as directed by the Senior Manager – Operations.
To be successful for this role, you must:
- A relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in business administration, operations, community services, social work, criminology, psychology, victim services, and/or family violence is desirable.
- Experience managing a team.
- Ability to undergo a National Police Check.
