About Role:
As a Transport Allocator, you will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling and allocation of transport resources while ensuring smooth communication between drivers and the operations team. Your role will involve administrative support, helping to ensure efficiency, compliance, and accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily transport schedules and allocate resources effectively
- Liaise with drivers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Provide administrative support, including tracking and updating transportation logs
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations
- Address any scheduling conflicts or operational issues in real-time
- Maintain accurate records of transport activities and driver information
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in administration or a similar support role
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with drivers and internal teams
- Transport experience desirable
- Experience with scheduling, preferably in a transport or logistics environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software
