About the role
In this role, you will lead a team of testers, designing, creating, and executing test cases to ensure the success of projects. You'll work closely with developers and business analysts to gather technical, functional, and business requirements to inform your testing strategies. The Test Lead will also play a key role in analysing test results, managing defects, and ensuring the seamless execution of tasks within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of testers, overseeing the design, creation, and execution of test cases for specific project requirements.
- Liaise with developers and business analysts to gather technical analysis, functional, and business requirements for testing.
- Analyse test results and manage defects throughout the testing process.
- Take a proactive approach in prioritising tasks and collaborating with team members effectively.
- Provide leadership, support, and guidance to team members, ensuring successful project outcomes.
- Communicate test progress, results, and issues clearly to stakeholders and senior management.
- Work independently and effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Government Clearance: Must have baseline government or NV-1 clearance.
- Citizenship: Must be an Australian citizen to be eligible for this role.
- 7+ years of experience in manual testing, with hands-on experience using tools like ALM, JIRA, and API testing tools (e.g., Postman and Bruno).
- Strong technical acumen in testing activities such as identifying scenarios, developing scripts, analysing results, and summarising reports.
- Proven ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
- Expertise in testing and management tools (e.g., ALM, JIRA, SAP Focused Build).
- Familiarity with programming languages like Java and Python.
- Extensive experience working in an Agile framework.
