Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Wood Technology across Years 7-12.
- Teach aspects of Visual Communication Design and Art, integrating design principles and creative problem-solving.
- Foster students' practical skills, creativity, and appreciation for craftsmanship and design.
- Plan and implement hands-on projects that develop technical abilities and artistic expression.
- Ensure safe and effective use of tools, equipment, and materials in a well-equipped workshop environment.
- Use contemporary teaching methodologies, including the integration of digital technologies in design and production.
- Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programs, exhibitions, and student showcases.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Teaching qualifications in Wood Technology, Design & Technology, Visual Communication Design, or related fields.
- Current VIT registration (or eligibility to obtain).
- Experience teaching Wood Technology at the secondary level, with additional expertise in Visual Communication Design and/or Art highly regarded.
- Effective classroom management and student engagement strategies.
