A leading financing company based in Sydney CBD, specialising in providing tailored financial solutions. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Treasury Accountant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals with expertise in financial instruments, accounting, and reporting to contribute to a dynamic and growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities of the Technical Treasury Accountant:

Prepare, analyze, and report on derivative products, AUD and FX debt products, and related accounting entries.
Manage on-balance sheet securitisation trusts and ensure proper accounting and reporting.
Ensure proper consolidation and intercompany elimination processes are followed for financial statements.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting, with a strong understanding of AASB 9
Analyse and report on financial risks, including interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and maturity risk, as well as fair value assessments.
Assist in the preparation of financial disclosures in compliance with local and international financial reporting standards.

Key Skills and experience of the Technical Treasury Accountant:

In-depth knowledge of derivative products, AUD and FX debt products and their accounting treatment.
Familiarity with disclosure requirements under AASB, and experience with financial instruments accounting and reporting
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CA qualification is highly desirable).
Excellent understanding of Australian accounting standards and international financial reporting standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
