It's a 12 month initial contract with a view to extend, based in Bankstown, where you would currently be required to work a minimum of 1 day a week in the office, with free parking on-site and nearby.
The client is looking to improve the customer journey and digital capabilities, delivering a seamless customer centric digital solution with regards to how customers engage with them and increase operational efficiency.
Within the client Digital Transformation is a new division, which has been established to drive the digital and CX strategy and, the design and delivery of innovation across the entire customer experience including the digital enablement of end-to-end customer experiences.
Purpose
This role will provide technical leadership for the Digital Transformation program. The Technical Lead will play a pivotal role in guiding the design and implementation of the Future State Technology Architecture, working closely with key stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and future-proof solutions.
The Digital Front Door and Digital Back Door are central to the transformation vision. The Digital Front Door will serve as a customer-facing platform that simplifies access to services, enhances engagement, and facilitates seamless transactions. The Digital Back Door will streamline staff workflows, integrate systems, and enable efficient service delivery. Together, they will deliver a unified, end-to-end digital experience for customers and staff.
About the role:
The Technical Lead will oversee all technical aspects of the Digital Transformation program, ensuring alignment between technical requirements, strategic objectives, and organisational priorities. This includes leading the development of the Digital Front Door and Back Door, providing technical direction for functional prototyping, and supporting other projects as part of the Digital Transformation program.
The role requires close collaboration with the ICT (Technology) team to understand current systems and technology stacks, identify integration opportunities, and drive innovative solutions that enhance customer and staff experiences.
The Technical Lead will also partner with external vendors to deliver the Future State Technology Architecture, ensuring smooth implementation and ongoing optimisation.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of CBCity’s Future State Technology Architecture in collaboration with external vendors and internal teams
• Oversee the technical delivery of large-scale digital solutions, including the Digital Front Door and Digital Back Door, to create seamless experiences for customers and staff
• Provide expert technical advice and direction for functional prototyping and Accelerator program projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and priorities
• Collaborate closely with the ICT team to understand current systems (inc. gaps and limitations), technology stacks, and integration opportunities, ensuring compatibility and scalability
• Partner with the Digital Transformation Manager and Digital Program Lead to align technical activities with program timelines, budgets, and resourcing
• Drive the adoption of innovative technologies, including AI, machine learning and other emerging technologies, to enhance operational efficiency and improve community outcomes
• Ensure technical solutions adhere to high standards for security, scalability, accessibility, and compliance
• Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks for technology and data initiatives, including data privacy and cybersecurity protocols as part of the Digital Transformation program
• Foster productive relationships with external vendors and consultants to deliver high-quality outcomes
• Continuously monitor and evaluate technical solutions to ensure they meet performance expectations and support continuous improvement
Skills and experience required:
• Extensive experience as a technical leader in large-scale digital transformationprograms
• Strong expertise in designing and delivering scalable architectures for digital platforms, including cloud-based and hybrid solutions
• Proficiency in system integration, enterprise architecture frameworks, and modern development methodologies such as Agile
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for diverse audiences
• Deep understanding of ICT systems and technology stacks, with a proven ability to design and deliver integrated solutions
• A commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in a large-scale transformation environment
