Randstad Digital is currently working with a large financial services organisation in Queensland to find two Technical Architects to join a high performing team across the Technologies division. This role will have a specific focus on technical architecture, its relationships to the other architectural layers, and its practical application. This role is a 6-month initial contract, with the view to extend past that point.
Responsibilities:
- Design and contribute to the development of technology solutions, considering technology strategies, enterprise planning and deployments across a range of complex systems and business applications.
- Provide technical and architectural leadership to ensure solutions align and comply with architectural directions, standards and guidelines.
- Maintain knowledge of key domains, platform and technology components associated with this role, including new and emerging technologies.
- Document current and target state to aid in the transition to the target state for a specific domain, platform, or technical component.
- Provide advice to other Technology teams, including Domains/Platforms and projects regarding application and operation of technical security controls, technology, implementation approaches, non-functional and operational requirements.
- Understand client requirements, identify, evaluate and recommend solution and platform options.
- Perform security and risk assessments.
- Negotiate and agree with project managers the explicit architecture deliverables for each project phase. Estimate architecture work and manage technical architect resource allocation to projects.
- Contribute to the Enterprise Architecture function for the Technology Architecture Domain, through influence technology strategy and key decisions.
Necessary Skills:
- Strong technical leadership experience in a complex ICT environment for a medium sized organisation.
- Proven knowledge and understanding in the function of governance structures in a medium to large sized corporate environment.
- Extensive work experience in related roles including in-depth knowledge of the relevant
- technical speciality along with a good general understanding of the following services:
- Cloud based services (Azure, GCP and AWS), SaaS models
- Microsoft 365 services including Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint
- Security, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, Monitoring and observability
- Database platforms (SQL Server, Oracle)
- Multiple infrastructure platforms (Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Citrix and VMware)
- Networks (Routing, F5, Netscaler, Palo Alto, VMWare VeloCloud)
- Enterprise application platforms
- Mobility and/or End User Compute
- IT Service Management (Service Now)
