About the Role:
A well-regarded Catholic school located in the heart of Western Sydney (Parramatta area) is seeking a dedicated Technologies (TAS) Teacher to join their team in a full-time, permanent capacity, starting 31 January 2025. As a TAS Teacher, you will play an essential role in inspiring students to explore the practical applications of technology and design, supporting both their academic and personal development within a faith-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons in TAS, with a focus on creativity, critical thinking, and skill-building.
- Teach Stage 4 Junior Mandatory TAS and, ideally, have experience in Stage 5 & 6 Design and Technology.
- Actively support and promote the Catholic, academic, and pastoral values of the school community.
- Integrate digital technology to enhance student learning and professional development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to nurture a positive learning environment and uphold the school’s community spirit.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational methodologies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Relevant teaching qualifications and accreditation with the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA).
- Current Working with Children Check clearance.
- Demonstrated experience teaching TAS subjects at the secondary level.
- Commitment to the Catholic ethos, contributing to the spiritual and moral development of students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse school community.
