... They have a permanent opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer to join their growing team in Adelaide, SA. You will be responsible for specifying, implementing and verifying engineering solutions at an advanced level in accordance with the customers needs and regulatory requirements. You will have the opportunity to work within a project engineering team, and may include supervision of design elements, implementation of a system or part of a system, or supervision of a small engineering team.
Your new role:
As System Engineer you will:
- Be able to provide leadership skills with small teams (task teams) and strong communication skills
- Have strong experience in system engineering concepts:
Interface Definition
Requirements analysis and traceability
System design (Conceptual, detailed, and differences between physical, logical, and functional design)
Verification and validation
- Strong understanding of system integration, change management, and engineering investigations (defects and problem solving skills)
- Understanding of engineering processes and configuration management.
- Conduct major engineering assignments in collaboration with other members of the project engineering team.
- Apply an understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions.
- Functional decomposition of requirements and modeling of solutions.
- Perform analysis, design and preparation of documentation for the engineering solution to meet allocated requirements.
- Identify verification methods and development of verification plans and procedures
- Establish and maintain requirements traceability throughout the design process.
- Prepare reports on the outcome of engineering studies.
- Assist in the development of project plans and schedules.
About you
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you’ll have:
- Tertiary Engineering degree (eligible to be MIEAUST)
- Experience in development of requirements specifications, traceability matrices and verification plans and procedures.
- Experience with IBM DOORS for management of requirements.
- Experience with Model based Systems Engineering (MBSE) including related tools (SysML and/or Capella/Arcadia).
- Ability to interpret information of a complex technical nature.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions effectively and efficiently.
