About the Role
Randstad is proud to partner with the leading provider of construction and strategic building maintenance services for the Queensland Government. We have an immediate need for an OO6 Supervisor located at Cannon Hill.
The Supervisor will assist in managing and coordinating project planning and delivery activities to maximize project profitability and ensure client satisfaction. You will provide supervisory services for the delivery of construction, maintenance, and upgrade works, and offer inspection services in line with KPIs. This role involves liaising with customers, subcontractors, and other business areas, completing scope works, and providing estimates as required.
Responsibilities
...- Assist in planning and delivering projects by effectively supervising and developing office and field staff, as well as subcontractors.
- Conduct high-quality condition assessments and estimations to ensure efficient and cost-effective project outcomes.
- Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with HR practices, including employment equity and workplace health and safety.
- Provide supervisory services for construction, maintenance, and upgrade work.
- Produce comprehensive tender and quotation documentation, prepare accurate estimates, and develop project trade packages.
- Coordinate and deliver condition assessment services, including inspections and material sampling (including asbestos).
- Ensure adherence to the Safety Management System (SMS), including participating in WHS audits, conducting on-site inspections, and ensuring all job documentation includes safe work method statements or risk assessments.
The successful candidate will:
- Exhibit leadership while supervising services for the delivery of construction, contract management, maintenance, and upgrade work, including assisting in the planning and delivery of projects through the efficient supervision and development of office staff, field staff, and subcontractors.
- Display an excellent working knowledge of construction equipment and procedures with a strong focus on WH&S.
- Demonstrate the ability to produce high-quality tender and quotation documentation for building projects and prepare accurate and timely estimates, quotations, and project trade packages, including material lists and construction programs.
- Maintain a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring compliance across all activities.
- Possess advanced computer skills and have a sound understanding of Excel.
Qualifications
- Proven general supervisory skills and Trade background
- Experience in maintenance/minor works jobs
- Proficient computer skills
- Current White Card and Drivers Licence
- Current Australian working rights (Evidence required in application process)

They will display initiative, attention to detail, and have the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised while contributing to the wider team's objectives of ensuring service delivery exceeds expectations.
