- Develop and execute communication strategies to engage the community, enhance brand reputation, and build trust.
- Create written and visual content for various communication channels, including media releases, articles, website updates, and social media posts.
- Manage inquiries from media, social media, and community, adhering to established protocols.
- Prepare communications materials for executive team members and manage corporate publications.
Strategic Communications
- Support implementation of brand and advocacy strategies to reinforce organizational brand essence.
- Ensure communications activities reflect the enduring value provided and support long-term strategic goals.
Media and Communications
- Develop and implement media strategies to bolster organizational reputation and promote strategic initiatives.
- Provide counsel on media enquiries, issues management, and crisis responses.
- Coordinate media releases, briefings, and manage media relationships and opportunities.
Media Relationships
- Cultivate relationships with key media contacts and expand network to enhance media coverage.
- Liaise with government agencies and stakeholders in accordance with protocols.
Health, Safety & Wellbeing
- Uphold organizational health, safety, environment, and quality standards in the workplace.
- Report safety concerns and promote a culture of safety among colleagues.
Successful Profile
- Proven track record in developing and implementing strategic communications plans effectively.
- Extensive expertise in corporate communications, crisis management, and handling issues.
- Effective collaboration with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills across various platforms, adapting tone and style to different audiences and channels (traditional and digital), with meticulous attention to detail.
- Outstanding verbal communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Skilled in using persuasion to solve problems effectively.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills, consistently meeting tight deadlines.
