Are you a highly organised and reliable Store person looking for a challenging and rewarding role in Townsville, QLD? We're seeking a dedicated individual to join our team and contribute to the efficient operation of our busy warehouse.
About the Role:
This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of parts and materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for managing parts, maintaining accurate records, and fostering strong relationships with both internal departments and external suppliers. Your attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and control the movement of parts within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilise warehouse management systems (SAP preferred) to track and record parts movements.
- Accurate administration of all parts movements, including receiving, dispatching, and inventory control.
- Operate forklift and gantry crane in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain strong interdepartmental and supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Contribute to a safe and organised warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
About You:
- Proven experience working in a stores/warehouse environment.
- Current LF Forklift Licence is essential.
- Overhead/Gantry Crane competency/ticket is highly preferred.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written), numeracy, and literacy.
- Working knowledge of SAP is highly advantageous.
- Ability to learn and understand parts and documentation.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A strong willingness to learn and adapt.
Essential Requirements:
- Ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Townsville, QLD.
