We are seeking an experienced Storage Systems Technical Consultant with a deep understanding of infrastructure solutions, server implementations, and vitalisation technologies to join our client's team. This role requires a highly skilled individual who can design, implement, and optimise IT infrastructure solutions to meet the unique business requirements of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Architecture & Documentation: Develop and document infrastructure solutions that align with customer business needs, ensuring the best-fit technology choices.
- Virtualisation Technologies: Hands-on experience with IBM PowerVM, KVM, and RedHat Virtualisation (RHV), managing and optimizing virtualized environments.
- Containerisation & Kubernetes: Extensive experience with containers, Kubernetes, and RedHat OpenShift technologies for modern application deployment and orchestration.
- Automation: Work with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible to streamline and optimise processes.
- IBM Power Servers & VIOS: Expert knowledge in implementing and managing IBM Power Servers, Virtual I/O Servers (VIOS), and Logical Partitions (LPARs).
- Technical Leadership: Provide leadership in the design, execution, and troubleshooting of complex infrastructure solutions.
Mandatory Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure solutions, virtualisation technologies, and storage systems.
- Hands-on expertise in IBM PowerVM, KVM, RedHat Virtualisation (RHV), Containers, Kubernetes, and RedHat OpenShift.
- Experience with infrastructure automation products, especially Ansible.
- Strong background in implementing IBM Power Servers, VIOS, and LPARs.
- NV1 Security Clearance or higher is required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliverable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex, high-pressure situations.
- Experience with other virtualisation platforms and container orchestration tools.
- Advanced certifications in related technologies (e.g., IBM, RedHat, Kubernetes).
