About the Role
As a Specialist Palliative Care Nurse (Casual), you will deliver patient-centred care to those with life-limiting illnesses across the hospital. You'll work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team, offering physical, emotional, and psychosocial support.
This casual role offers flexibility and variety — with opportunities to work across inpatient units, outpatient services, and provide advice through after-hours support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced symptom management and clinical support
- Offer emotional and practical support to patients and their loved ones
- Work collaboratively with the palliative care team and other hospital departments
- Contribute to after-hours on-call support where applicable
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
About You
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of 1 year experience with current AHPRA registration
- Empathetic, adaptable, and confident working independently
- Availability for varied casual shifts, including weekends and evenings
- Melbourne, Caufield area.
