The role:
The Social Planning Officer will undertake comprehensive planning and analysis to support the implementation of the early years reform. This includes overseeing the expansion and renewal of child-focused services, and ensuring appropriate facilities are delivered. The role requires working closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research and analysis to inform the planning and implementation of children's services infrastructure.
Lead assessments to evaluate the capacity and viability of independent children’s service facilities.
Create options papers and implementation plans to guide service models and infrastructure development.
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
Offer strategic advice to decision-makers based on service planning and community infrastructure requirements.
Skills and Experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Social Planning, Urban Planning, Project Management, or a relevant field.
At least 4-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Solid understanding of children’s service infrastructure, including early childhood facility planning.
Proven experience in planning community facilities and managing stakeholder relationships.
