Site Reliability / Observability Engineer - Splunk

We’re looking for a skilled Observability Engineer to join a growing team, responsible for enhancing the observability capabilities across the company. This role will see you collaborating with cross-functional teams, work with business and application owners to define key performance indicators (KPIs), and perform service decompositions to understand system relationships.

Your work will ensure visibility into the health and performance of the IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development and maintenance of robust monitoring, logging, and tracing systems.
• Implement observability tools, set up dashboards,=
• Build logging, monitoring, and alerting to improve system visibility and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed observability practices within their development and operational workflows.
• Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop clear and detailed documentation for observability systems, processes, and workflows.

Skills Required

• Previous experience with Splunk ITSI (IT Service Intelligence) and AppDynamics
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Terraform
• Experience working in AWS / Azure environments
• Ideally some previous experience with New Relic, Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana, LogicMonitor etc
