About the Role:
We are working with a well-established civil contractor who is seeking a motivated and experienced Site / Project Engineer to join their team and play a key role in delivering a major civil works package for a large-scale residential development in Orange. This role focuses on the successful delivery of civil infrastructure, including bulk earthworks, road construction, stormwater drainage, and associated services required to support the development.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled civil engineer with expertise in roads, earthworks, stormwater, and utilities to be involved in a high-profile project from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Oversee and coordinate civil construction activities to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery.
- Manage and monitor bulk earthworks, road networks, stormwater drainage, sewer and water reticulation, and utility services.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, design requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure smooth execution of civil works.
- Conduct site inspections, quality control checks, and safety audits to uphold industry standards.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and risks, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare project documentation, including progress reports, variations, and technical submissions.
- Assist in procurement, contract administration, and coordination of construction materials and equipment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in civil infrastructure projects, with expertise in bulk earthworks, road construction, stormwater drainage, and utility services.
- Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret civil design plans and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Experience with project management software and site reporting tools.
- A valid driver’s licence and previous experience working in Australia on similar projects is essential
