An established financially buoyant Tier Three Fit Out business client has approached Randstad to employ a solid Site Manager full time. The work covers smaller fit out projects, some for private office clients and others government (GC21), requiring a full strip out and refurbishment to the existing premises with some small new build components.
... They are very much a solid identity in the shopfitting and retail fit out space competing with large competitors, so this person needs to be well polished in fit projects, client facing, computer literate and a good communicator. Also the ability to get things moving in a proactive way.
They are recognised for their consistent delivery, positive and proactive approach and retaining a harmonious and happy culture. The key to their success is their motivated staff, and therefore they are very selective with whom they employ and invest in.
About the role
As one of their Site Managers you will be expected to take full ownership of the project, supervising site activities and delegating as necessary. Ideally you will have an all-round capability, understanding structural elements, carpentry / joinery elements and have a seasoned portfolio working on similar build projects over “$3 million AUD” in Australia.
Duties:
- Adherence to BCA standards
- Site Inspections, establishment and testing.
- Daily and Monthly reporting
- OH&S
- Subcontractor site Inductions
- Client Care
- Managing onsite issues
- Working to deadlines, contract and project time frames.
Skills and Experience
- You will have a minimum of 3 year’s experience working on similar projects.
- Trade Qualified in Carpentry and Joinery or Brick Laying.
- You will be highly motivated and ambitious with drive and passion in a leadership capacity.
- Confident and looking to exceed in all facets of your work. Delivering on time and on Budget.
- Exceptional Communication skills
- A “can do” positive attitude and confidence.
- Good management approach.
