Site Manager – Multi-Floor Commercial Fit-Out

The Company:
We have an opportunity for you to work for a leading commercial fit-out and refurbishment head contractor established for ovr 20 years, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, fast-track projects. They specialise in complex multi-floor refurbishments for repeat clients who trust their expertise, including make goods for landlords and high quality fit outs for tenants. They are ISO Safety Accredited and committed to best practices in WHS, have a strong pipeline of work in 2025 and beyond, and a client-focused culture with a reputation of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
... - The first project with be to oversee site operations across five floors of a commercial fit-out project in the CBD
- Lead and manage Site Foremen and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery
- Ensure all works are completed to scope, on time, and to high-quality standards
- Monitor and drive construction programs, keeping teams on schedule
- Prepare and enforce Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), ensuring compliance with all building regulations and safety standards
- Maintain site records, documentation, and reporting, including RFI and variation management
- Conduct client updates, site meetings, and project completion walkthroughs
- Proactively identify and solve problems to maintain workflow efficiency
What You'll Need:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Australia as a Site Manager, overseeing commercial fit-out/refurbishment projects
- Strong technical knowledge in reading and interpreting drawings
- Experience with multi-floor fit-outs (preferred)
- WHS knowledge and experience with workplace safety regulations
- Excellent time management, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of RFIs, variations, and building permits
- Ability to lead and mentor Foremen, ensuring a smooth site operation
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong eye for detail
