About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, meeting and exceeding commercial, contractual, and quality targets. Your responsibilities will span across project management support and championing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide vital support to the Project Manager in all project-related duties.
- Manage and promote a strong HSE culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and striving for the highest safety standards.
- Contribute to project programming, updates, and reporting, ensuring milestones are achieved on time.
- Implement and manage the company's management systems to deliver exceptional project outcomes, focusing on defect-free completion.
- Assist in cost management, including tender documentation, contract obligations, variation identification, and progress claims.
- Support the Project Manager in determining labour requirements and ensuring all staff are inducted and trained appropriately.
- Manage subcontractors to achieve project goals related to program, cost, quality and HSE.
- Foster positive client relationships through open communication and a cooperative approach.
- Undertake ad hoc duties as required by management.
About You:
You will be a proactive and detail-oriented Site Engineer with a strong understanding of construction processes and a passion for delivering excellence. You will possess:
- A relevant qualification in a construction-related field.
- Proven experience in a site engineering or project engineer role.
- Excellent knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
