Key duties and responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Adhere to the department’s change/release and cyber security standards and processes.
• Share expertise and provide technical advice and guidance to others.
• Implement standard processes, tools, metrics, measurement, and reporting.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in operations process and procedures.
• Undertaking incident response and remediation by coordinating technical support resources, stakeholder engagement and communications.
• Conduct/participate in forward planning to ensure systems meet future demand.
• Liaise with third party suppliers including service providers.
• Provide planning and technical advice for management.
• Pro-actively demonstrate required behaviours in line with expectations of the role.
• Coordinate or assist with the coordination of incident management.

Essential criteria

1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships and translate business requirements, including well-developed writing skills and experience maintaining technical documentation.
2. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills – a demonstrated ability to triage, problem solve, and engage with stakeholders across a geographically diverse organisation.
3. Minimum of 5 years experience as a Service Delivery lead or similar, and/or demonstrated experience in a technical leadership role on complex projects.

Desirable criteria

1. Demonstrated experience working in federal government ICT.
2. Demonstrated experience providing a high-quality service to clients.
3. Sound understanding of cyber security controls (ISM, Essential 8) within federal government departments.
