They currently support sustainment and acquisition activities for both fixed and deployable communications assets at various locations.
... They now have a permanent opportunity for a Senior Technical Officer to join their team based in Mawson Lakes, Adelaide. In this role you will have the opportunity to support project engineering teams with the assembly, test and installation of electronic/electrical and mechanical designs. In addition you will maintain the workshop, undertake procurement of electronic/electrical components and perform manufacturing inspections. You may also contribute to project engineering teams or R&D activities.
Your new role:
As Senior Technical Officer you will:
- Undertake assembly, installation, test, operations and/or maintenance of electronic/electrical assemblies and related instrumentation.
- Provide assistance with setting up and conducting research studies and field trials.
- Assess the need for modifications to technical processes and manufacturing equipment.
- Carry out procurement of electronic/electrical components and equipment and related materials and spare parts for project activities.
- Maintain assembly and test equipment in good working and calibration as required.
- Provide technical information and advice.
- Development/review of non-complex designs.
About you
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you’ll have:
- Ability to work to deadlines with little supervision.
- Ability to interpret information of a technical nature.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions effectively and efficiently.
- Strong technical knowledge and skills associated with electronic assemblies and installation.
- Proficiency in manufacturing/fabrication practices as applicable to the electronics industry.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and wiring lists. Knowledge of drawing standards.
- Significant relevant experience
- Technical Diploma
