About your new role
The Senior Risk Adviser will support the development and implementation of Council's Risk Management policies under the guidance of the Manager of Risk and Safety. They will also maintain a comprehensive Council-wide Risk Register, assisting Risk and Control Owners in fulfilling their responsibilities for managing Strategic and Operational Risks.
What you will need to exceed

- Demonstrated expertise in Risk Management or a related specialist role, with a track record of delivering results in diverse and dynamic settings.
- Strong leadership and the ability to inspire and guide teams in complex organisational environments.
- Practical experience managing insurance claims and ensuring effective resolution processes.
- Proven capability in creating clear, concise and actionable Risk Management reports.
- Skilled in conducting thorough incident investigations and identifying areas for improvement.
- Experience in designing and implementing comprehensive policies and procedures across an organization.
Desirable
- Experience in working for government
- Lead Auditor qualification and/or experience is desirable
- Cert IV in Workplace Training & Assessment is desirable
