Experienced Project Managers – Civil Infrastructure

Our client is on the lookout for experienced professionals to join their team and drive a range of high-profile civil infrastructure projects across the ACT and surrounding NSW regions. With a secure and growing project pipeline extending through to 2027, this is an exciting opportunity to secure long-term stability with an organisation renowned for its excellence and dedication to delivering high-impact infrastructure.
I am seeking experienced Project Managers with a proven ability to lead projects throughout their entire lifecycle. You should have a strong track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and with a focus on safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project pre-planning, including cost estimation, budgeting, and risk management
- Establish and maintain detailed construction schedules
- Oversee contract negotiations and secure all necessary permits
- Manage on-site construction teams, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety standards
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate with inspectors, architects, and construction managers for seamless project execution
- Oversee the logistics and timely delivery of materials with vendors
- Produce and present comprehensive project progress reports, detailing job status, costs, and milestones
- Attend and lead stakeholder meetings, providing updates on project progress and outcomes
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in Project Management within the government civil infrastructure sector
- A portfolio of successfully completed civil infrastructure projects
- Formal Project Management qualifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, etc.)
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Office, and advanced Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Extensive experience in managing civil infrastructure projects from inception to completion
- Demonstrated stability in previous roles, with long-term tenure in project management positions
