You will ideally have experience with end to end processing and experience using a range of systems including Chris21 or Preceda, Workday, etc.
The permanent Senior Payroll Officer position is based in Sydney CBD close to public transport and offers flexible / hybrid working from home and the office. The salary offering is between $110,000 - $120,000+ super depending on experience.
About the Role
You will join the dynamic payroll team as a Senior Payroll Officer and will also work closely with the HR & Finance teams. You will be supported in the role and working alongside other experienced Payroll Officers who are familiar with working in a high volume (1,400 + employees) fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- End to end payroll processing for 1400 + employees on a fortnightly basis using the tier 1 payroll system, Preceda.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to all relevant industry awards and stay up to day with any changes to legislation.
- Preparation of monthly payroll reports and end of year processing.
- Preparation and payment of all State and Federal tax obligations including PAYG tax, Payroll tax, Superannuation Guarantee contributions.
- Managing superannuation, leave entitlement and payments.
- Liaise with ATO on any issue.
- Answering all payroll queries from internal and external stakeholders.
About You
- 5+ years of previous experience processing end to end payroll is preferred
- Knowledge and experience using the Preceda system is preferred but experience with other tier 1 payroll systems will be considered.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
- Ability to interpret awards and legislation.
- Being able to operate with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
