Permanent full-time Senior Payroll Officer opportunity!
New senior payroll officer opportunity working for a growing consultancy organization based in North Sydney. This is a growing international business and you will work as part of the finance team reporting directly into the payroll manager.
... This role focuses on end to end payroll processing for the Australian payroll (200-250 staff monthly). The payroll system is Micropay and it would be beneficial if you have used this before but not essential.
The role is based in North Sydney very close to public transport. This full time permanent role offers hybrid working, 4 days from the office and 1 day from home. Flexible working is available for employees. Salary offering $90,000 - $100,000 + super depending on experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly payroll cycles for the Australian business.
- Prepare terminations calculations.
- Superannuation and employee pension fund compliance.
- Review bonus calculations.
- Ensure compliance with leave systems and liaise on timesheet / leave form completion.
- Assist the payroll manager with regulatory compliance and related tax matters.
- Keep up to date with legislation and award interpretation.
- Respond timely to all payroll queries.
- Completing any ad hoc tasks.
Preferred skills and experience:
- Ideally worked for 3+ years within a payroll capacity, understanding the full end to end process.
- Experience using Micropay is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to interpret awards and legislation.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work closely with a range of stakeholders.
