About the Role

As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of the fortnightly payroll cycle across multiple companies. This is an end-to-end payroll role that will see you working in a team environment, driven by excellence. Your responsibilities will include:
- Accurate and timely processing of fortnightly payroll cycles
- Support with payroll-related tasks such as new starters, terminations, and reconciliations
- Conduct monthly and annual payroll reconciliations, including compliance with Payroll Tax, Superannuation, and STP lodgements across multiple states
- Actively collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow, process improvements, and knowledge sharing
- Provide strong customer service to employees, managers, and the finance team regarding payroll queries and advice
- Foster a culture of care, curiosity, and connection while aligning with organisational values
What You'll Bring
- A solid background in payroll processing, with at least 3 years of SAP payroll experience
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach
- A consultative problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage change and continuously drive improvements
- Flexibility and resilience in handling change and high-pressure situations
- Experience working with blue-collar payrolls and complex reconciliations will be highly regarded
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to take initiative
