SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL - OPPORTUNITY

The organisation is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal support and guidance across a wide range of commercial, property, and regulatory matters within the organisation's healthcare and aged care services.

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal advice on commercial contracts, property transactions, construction matters, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Your expertise will help the organisation navigate complex legal challenges while mitigating risks and ensuring legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on commercial contracts, property acquisitions, disposals, and leasing.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a range of contracts, including supply agreements, service contracts, and development agreements.
- Support the construction team with contracts for aged care developments and manage related disputes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and industry laws.
- Represent the organisation in disputes, including contract breaches and property-related matters.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to align legal strategies with organisational objectives.
- Identify and manage legal risks, proposing mitigation strategies as needed.
About You:
- A law degree (LLB or equivalent)
- Minimum 8 years of senior experience in commercial and property law
- Expertise in drafting and negotiating complex contracts and managing property transactions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach to legal challenges and risk management.
