Role Overview:
Are you an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator with a strong background in HVAC systems? We are seeking a talented professional to join our team in delivering precise and timely cost estimates for HVAC projects across a range of sectors. This pivotal role involves working closely with engineering teams, project managers, and clients to ensure accurate pricing for materials, labor, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Provide accurate HVAC cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, ranging from $200k to $15m.
- Collaboration: Work alongside engineering departments, estimating teams, and project managers to understand project scope and requirements.
- Site Visits & Reviews: Conduct site visits and review project plans and specifications to ensure accurate estimates.
- HVAC Expertise: Leverage your HVAC knowledge to prepare detailed and comprehensive estimates for a wide variety of projects.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with the latest building codes, energy efficiency standards, and industry regulations.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry, particularly in an estimating role.
- HVAC Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HVAC systems, components, and industry best practices.
- Technical Skills: Ability to interpret tender documents and technical drawings, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Mathematics: Strong skills in cost calculation and time estimation.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Licensing: A valid driver’s license is required.
