An exciting opportunity exists for a proactive and adaptable HR Generalist to provide key support within our client's organisation. This role is based in their vibrant Melbourne Inner City office and offers a upbeat environment with the flexibility of a 2-day work-from-home schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure statutory compliance through report preparation and employee data management.
- Resolve employee/manager queries on flexible work, parental leave, and HR policies/procedures.
- Manage HR data reporting, ensuring accuracy and providing insights.
- Administer Workday HRIS (employee changes, org structure, compensation).
- Oversee employee lifecycle: requisition, background checks, contracts, onboarding, IT setup.
- Manage contingent worker engagement: requisitioning, onboarding, IT access, vendor liaison.
- Coordinate training: schedules, logistics, facilitation (People Matter, CoachHub, AU Aesop Learning Calendar).
- Manage employee relations: investigations, guidance to managers, disciplinary actions, PIPs.
- Support change/integration: documentation, outplacement, EAP coordination.
Skills & Experience:
We are seeking a candidate who is proactive, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and demonstrates sound judgement in issue resolution and escalation. While retail HR experience is not a prerequisite, a positive approach, demonstrable competency, and a comprehensive skill set are essential.
