The Role
As the Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of stay in business capital and operational projects as well as providing technical expertise around long term maintenance and reliability programs. You will have overview and accountability of all Control, Electrical & Instrumentation systems and be assisting with engineering design issues, system upgrades and asset life extension. Other areas of the role will include: Developing proposals for future projects based on critical maintenance and EOL assets, providing progress reports on engineering and capital projects works; including budget tracking and forecasting, working with maintenance teams to ensure projects are handed over ready for operational use with all relevant information and training provided as well as leading and mentoring staff to support their performance and development.
Qualification, Experience and Requirements
- Relevant degree qualifications in relevant Engineering discipline: Electrical, Instrumentation & Control
- Background in high pressure pipeline and power generation systems or refinery/process plant operations
- Knowledge in asset management, maintenance practices and project management
- Working knowledge of energy assets design and operation including gas transmission systems, gas system hydraulics, thermodynamics and compressor stations
- Knowledge of the pipeline industry Regulations, Codes and Standards (AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 60079, AS 2885)
- Natural leadership and ability to mentor Engineers and Maintenance staff with passion and drive
- Be willing and able to travel intra/interstate when required
- Be located in Adelaide with unrestricted Australian working rights
