You will have the opportunity to work on broad range of projects; retail & commercial, DC electric vehicle charging stations and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), with a focus on providing innovative solutions and delivering projects from concept through to construction completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with stakeholders: Work closely with electrical authorities, project stakeholders, clients, and internal engineers to ensure project success, effective communication, and alignment of objectives.
• Design Development: Develop feasibility studies, concept designs, detailed designs, and issue-for-construction designs in compliance with relevant Australian Standards (AS3000, AS3008, AS61439, AS3010, AS2067).
• Network Modelling: Model electrical networks using Powercad and other relevant tools, ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration: Work alongside electrical drafters to produce high-quality, accurate design drawings and documentation.
• Client Support: Provide ongoing assistance to clients during the construction phase of projects, ensuring alignment with design specifications and resolving any issues that arise.
• Project Management: Manage electrical engineering projects from initial concept to construction completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Shop Drawing Review: Review shop drawings for switchboard design and manufacture, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with project specifications.
• Industry Expertise: Utilize your extensive experience in building services, including shopping centers, DC electric vehicle charging stations, mining, and commercial buildings, to design and deliver solutions that meet client needs.
• Technical Knowledge: Leverage your knowledge of DNSP connections, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar technologies, private low voltage systems, 11kV reticulation, pad mount designs, and earthing.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• A demonstrated experience in electrical engineering at a senior level, with proven expertise in building services, commercial projects, and renewable energy systems.
• Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards, including AS3000, AS3008, AS61439, AS3010, and AS2067.
• Proficient in electrical network modelling using tools such as Powercad.
• Experience in designing and managing projects involving low voltage, 11kV systems, BESS, and solar technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept to construction completion, ensuring quality, cost control, and on-time delivery.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong ability to liaise with clients, authorities, and internal teams.
• Experience in reviewing and coordinating switchboard design and manufacture.

Ideally you will have a Professional engineering certification or membership with relevant industry bodies.
