Randstad are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior EIC Engineer to join our client’s team in Adelaide. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced automation and control systems for their mining processing operations, driving efficiency, safety, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completion of small to medium sized electrical, instrumentation and control systems (EIC) design projects for new and existing mining infrastructure
- Technical review of engineering deliverables
- Supervise and mentor junior/graduate engineers
- Collaborate with technology and project teams, including mechanical, process, and automation engineers, to ensure integration of control systems & instruments
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in automation and control technologies
- Participate in safety reviews and risk assessments for control systems
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and implementing EIC systems, ideally within the mining industry
- Strong understanding of instrumentation and control concepts, including process control, feedback loops, and distributed control systems
- Demonstrated experience with motor controls and VSD
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on building and maintaining relationships
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to solve problems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable working with various software applications.
