About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Db2 Consultant to join our client's team. This role requires expertise in database administration, performance tuning, data architecture, and solution design within mainframe environments. If you thrive in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment and possess a minimum NV1 security clearance, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and optimise Teradata v17.20 objects, including performance tuning and physical architecture.
• Monitor and tune Db2 on Z/OS performance, and manage mainframe utilities such as backup recoveries.
• Develop and implement ETL solutions to support data integration needs.
• Utilise REXX utilities, JCL, ISPF, and Omegamon tools for mainframe software management.
• Provide capacity forecasting and support high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) exercises.
• Lead data modelling, solution design, and technical/data architecture tasks.
• Mentor staff and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Minimum NV1 security clearance.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in:
  • Teradata v17.20 and SQL.
  • Db2 on Z/OS performance monitoring and tuning.
  • Mainframe tools like REXX utilities, JCL, and ISPF.
  • Data modelling and architecture.
• Expertise in ETL development and solution design.
• Strong knowledge of HA, DR, and business continuity exercises.
• Experience with capacity forecasting and mainframe software.
