Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Cost Lead in the preparation and management of cost control systems for the surface scope of the project.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of project budgets.
• Manage and monitor the cost performance of the surface works, ensuring all activities align with the project's cost objectives.
• Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure all cost-related issues are addressed and resolved promptly.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost control processes and systems to ensure greater accuracy, efficiency, and cost savings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a cost engineer within the mining or construction industry.
• Proven experience in managing cost control systems and budgeting for large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of mining project phases, particularly related to surface works.
• Ability to work with project management software, cost control systems, and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present cost data.
• Experience with SAP or similar project management tools is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with mining industry regulations and cost management practices.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
