Senior Contracts Manager - Brisbane

The Senior Contracts Manager (SCM) is expected to bring expertise and experience in procurement and contract management, planning, evaluation phases of designated civil infrastructure to ensure that client and business requirements are satisfied with regards to time, cost, quality and scope. This position will be overseeing microtunnelling contracts for installation of stormwater and sewer pipework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project package with Project Managers for delivery times, permits, constructability, cost estimation of works; and making budget estimates and cashflow for contract delivery.
- Liaison with all stakeholders
- Plan, monitor and control all aspects of Contract Administration as it relates to projects.
- Contract Management Plans including but not limited to WH&S plan; SWMS; Environmental Management documentation.
- Quality Control Plan and ITPs where relevant, plan and obtain permits for Traffic Control, statutory environmental and safety permits in time for construction.
- Preparation and review of contract documentation to ensure compliance with statutory laws. Review on an ongoing basis making recommendations for improvement considered necessary.
- Undertake document preparation for tendering, presentation to relevant procurement board for approval for pre-tender, evaluations, post-tender presentation to the board and award contract.
- Evaluation of submitted tenders in accordance with procurement guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Award of contracts and administration of the delivery of works under the contract to practical completion and final completion.
- Act as the Construction Branch Superintendent
Requirements:
- Project management experience (6+yrs). Project Management qualifications desirable.
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering and/or professional membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia.
- Possess significant working knowledge of AS4000, AS4902
- Experience in a local government environment desirable.
