Senior Business Analyst – Financial Crime Risk (FCR) - 12 month contract (view to extend)
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team focused on Financial Crime Risk (FCR) initiatives within a highly regulated financial environment. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in business analysis, with a deep understanding of Financial Crime, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance, and Transaction Monitoring, enabling them to hit the ground running and immediately contribute to the success of the project.
This role demands an individual who is adaptable, quick to learn, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting. You will be working on a time-sensitive project with a firm completion deadline, necessitating exceptional project execution and delivery capabilities. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be expected to bring strong leadership and direction to ensure the timely and successful delivery of project milestones.
Key competencies and skills required for the role include:
... - Proven experience working in regulated financial environments, particularly in the areas of Financial Crime Risk (FCR), AML Compliance, Transaction Monitoring, and fraud prevention.
- A strong understanding of regulatory obligations, including sanctions screening, Suspicious Activity Reporting (SARs), and general fraud prevention strategies.
- Experience working under enforceable undertakings, compliance audits, or regulatory scrutiny is highly desirable. Familiarity with external auditor engagements and compliance reporting is an asset, as auditors will be actively involved in the project, providing oversight and reporting on progress.
- A demonstrated ability to work on delivery-focused projects with tight timelines, showcasing your capacity to manage project execution and deliverables.
- Analytical expertise with the ability to provide strategic insights and deliver clear and actionable recommendations in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Considerations:
- While AML and CTF experience is advantageous, candidates with strong regulatory expertise in financial crime compliance will also be highly regarded.
- We are open to candidates based in NSW (preferred), QLD and VIC, with a willingness to accommodate flexible working arrangements for the right fit.
- Previous experience in banking, financial services, or regulatory environments will be highly beneficial.
