A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced mid-level or senior lawyer to join the growing Employment team at our client’s Sydney office.
The highly regarded national employment team acts on behalf of medium to large national and international employers, providing expert advice on both contentious and non-contentious matters. Their work encompasses employment and industrial relations, workplace health and safety (WHS), discrimination, immigration, and privacy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with and learn from an experienced team of Employment Partners, Special Counsel, Senior Associates, and Lawyers.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting Partners on employment law and industrial relations matters.
- Applying a strong understanding of complex legal concepts to develop innovative solutions tailored to client needs.
- Drafting legal documents, providing advice, and managing multiple matters concurrently.
- Maintaining clear and professional communication with clients regarding the progress of matters.
- Collaborating on large and complex litigation, including cases involving restraints, general protections, discrimination, and unfair dismissal claims.
- Managing document discovery processes and preparing detailed lists of documents.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 5–7 years of post-admission experience, with a strong focus on employment and industrial relations law.
- Experience gained from a large national or international law firm, or a specialist employment law practice, is highly desirable.
