The right candidate for the position of Corporate Accountant will join the Finance team that support the local Corporate and Investment Banking businesses in Australia, a snapshot of these services include:
...
- Prepare monthly Management Accounts and Financial Accounts
- Month end close including balance sheet reconciliations
- Review of the month end accruals
- Assist with the preparation of Year End Accounts and Financial Statements for local subsidiaries
- Prepare tax related working papers, review GST (BAS) returns and prepare Income Activity Statement (IAS) returns to the tax office on a monthly basis.
- Assist with year end external audit and respond to auditors queries
- Projects - assist with Finance projects whenever necessary
For the position of Corporate Accountant the candidate requires the following skills:
- 2-4 years Accounting experience in Financial Services, preferably Banking or Big 4 Audit Environment
- CA / CPA qualified (or part qualified) and Degree in Commerce or Accounting or equivalent.
- Good understanding of basic accounting concepts
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to collaborate with the team
- Outstanding organisational skills
- Can commit to a 1 year fixed term contract
